MUTTON BUSTIN’ GUIDELINES

(For your child’s safety)

 WELCOME TO MUTTON BUSTIN’

 

Welcome to the Responder Relief Rodeo Mutton Bustin’ event!  We want everyone to have a safe, fun and memorable event so please be aware of the following guidelines so that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

 

  1. ONLY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MAY REGISTER A CHILD IN THE MUTTON BUSTIN’ EVENT.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

  2. The entry fee is $40 per rider, 1 entry per child.  Entries will only be confirmed once entry form, and fees are received.  The waiver will need to be presented at check-in.

  3. Entry fee must be paid online at the time of entry.

  4. The first round of Mutton Bustin’ will be held on Saturday afternoon, August 17th, at 1:00 p.m.; the top 5 will proceed to the finals at the rodeo on August 17th following the barrel race finals approximately 6:45 to 7pm. The second round of Mutton Bustin’ will be held on Saturday at 3pm and the top 5 will proceed to the finals at the rodeo on August 17th   following the barrel race approximately 6:45 to 7pm. 

  5. Prizes will be given to all participants and a buckle will be given to the winner from the top 10 contestants.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE is 5pm August 11th, or sooner if full.  The fees are non-refundable

 

  • Contestants Eligibility:  Age 4 to 7 as of the event date.  Weight:  55 lbs or less

  • Dress Code:  Long sleeved shirt, long pants, boots, protective vest and helmet (will have if necessary) NO SPURS

  • Check In:  On Saturday 8/17 round 1. 12:15 PM Mutton Busting Check in at the tent next to the Crow's Nest start time 1:00pm; on Saturday 8/17 round 2. 2:15 PM Mutton Busting Check in at the Crow's Nest start time 3:00pm.

  • Please look for the Mutton Bustin’ Check in Signs.

  • Riders not checked in 15 minutes prior to the event will forfeit their entry (No Ride)

  • You will receive instruction on when and where to meet your Mutton Bustin’ Liaison when you check-in.

  • For safety reasons, only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed behind the chutes with the rider.

 

** Contestants must be checked-in no later than 45 minutes prior to each event.  Arrival after that could result in your child being removed from the event.
